RUMOUR(S)HAS IT....WIJ ZIJN DE WINNAARS @IJSSELPOP 2012!!!

‘Rumours’ is an indie-rock/pop band from the city of Leiden, Netherlands, formed in 2011. The band’s line-up at the moment is, K.C./bass guitar and keyboards, Henk/drums, Jaklien/lead vocals and Hans/guitar.

The roots of the band mainly descend from several British and American rock styles from solid hard rock to stonerrock and alternative/indie rock/pop. Generally you could categorize the music of Rumours under ‘indie rock’. Despite of the fact that the songs do get stuck in you head quite easily they also have a bit of a unique and alternative sound. So far Rumours has written intense rock songs with somewhat progressive influences and here and there some creative twists using some electro and new wave influences.

At the moment the band is busy composing, arranging and recording new ‘Rumours songs’. This season they made it to the finals of 'De grote prijs van het Groene hart' and were THE WINNING BAND @ IJSSELPOP.
